ABSTRACT: Background: In this globalized era Sulawesi Tenggara Provincial Hospital
as a public health service institution is trying to improve quality of health
service including nursing service. Nurses have an important role in
providing quality public health service in hospital. Capability to provide
professional nursing care service according to nursing standard largely
depends on knowledge and motivation of nurses in implementing nursing
care standard in hospital.
Objective: To identify the implementation of nursing care standard at
inpatient ward of Sulawesi Tenggara Provincial Hospital and association
between knowledge, motivation and supervision function of head of the
ward and the implementation of nursing care standard at inpatient ward of
Sulawesi Tenggara Provincial Hospital.
Method: The study was quantitative with cross sectional design.
Population and samples of the study were all nurses at inpatient ward of
Sulawesi Tenggara Provincial Hospital. Data were obtained through
questionnaire and observation and analyzed using univariate, bivariate
with chi square statistical test, and multivariate with logistic regression.
Result: The implementation of nursing care standard at inpatient ward of
Sulawesi Utara Provincial Hospital was inadequate. There was no
association between knowledge and the implementation of nursing care
standard; there was association between motivation and the
implementation of nursing care standard, and there was association
between supervision function of head of the ward and the implementation
of nursing care standard. Supervision function of head of the ward was the
most dominant variable in the implementation of nursing care standard.
Conclusion: There was no association between knowledge and the
implementation of nursing care standard; there was association between
motivation and the implementation of nursing care standard, and there
was association between supervision function of head of the ward and the
implementation of nursing care standard.
INTISARI: Latar Belakang: Rumah Sakit Umum Propinsi Sultra sebagai suatu
institusi pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat, dalam era globalisasi berusaha
meningkatkan kualitas mutu pelayanan kesehatan termasuk pelayanan
keperawatan. Tenaga perawat mempunyai kedudukan penting dalam
menghasilkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit. Kemampuan
memberikan pelayanan asuhan keperawatan secara profesional sesuai
standar keperawatan sangat tergantung pada bagaimana pengetahuan,
motivasi kerja perawat rumah sakit dalam menerapkan standar asuhan
keperawatan di rumah sakit.
Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui penerapan standar asuhan
keperawatan di ruang rawat inap RSU Propinsi Sultra dan mengetahui
hubungan pengetahuan, motivasi kerja dan fungsi supervisi kepala
ruangan terhadap penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan di ruang rawat
inap RSU Propinsi sultra.
Metode penelitian: Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan rancangan
cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan totally sampling
dimana keseluruhan populasi perawat di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit
Umum Propinsi Sultra dijadikan sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan
kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpul data dan observasi yang kemudian
dianalisa secara univariat, bivariat dengan menggunakan uji statistik chi
square, multivariate dengan regresi logistik.
Hasil: Penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan di ruang rawat inap RSU
Propinsi Sultra masih kurang. Tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan
dengan penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan, ada hubungan antara
motivasi dengan penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan, dan ada
hubungan antara fungsi supervisi kepala ruangan dengan penerapan
standar asuhan keperawatan. Fungsi supervisi kepala ruangan
merupakan variabel yang paling dominan dalam penerapan standar
asuhan keperawatan
Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan
penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan, ada hubungan antara motivasi
dengan penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan, dan ada hubungan
antara fungsi supervisi kepala ruangan dengan penerapan standar asuhan
keperawatan.
